Furthermore, it allows for the display of information from numerous targets within a single graph. Through a centralized Smokeping Master node, multiple Slave nodes can be deployed, inheriting their configurations from the master, which facilitates the ability to ping a single target from diverse locations simultaneously. The tool now incorporates standard deviation in various instances to quantify the fluctuations in round trip times as represented by the smoke signals. SmokePing supports a broad range of probes, including basic ping, web requests, and even custom protocols, making it highly versatile.
